Emcee Marriott International Masters of the Craft Compeition
I had the distinct privilege to emcee a two day culinary competition for Marriott International Hotels. Over 3,000 food and beverage professionals from across the Americas competed in a variety of regional competitions and 13 chefs and 13 bartenders were flown to DC to compete.
For the semi-finals, day one, we have a series of blind rounds where mystery ingredients are involved and both the chefs and bartenders have to make up dishes and drinks during a timed trial. As emcee I facilitate the entire event, engage with the audience, make live commentary, interview the talent, and the judges.
For the finals on day two it was live broadcast to over 2 million social media followers. Mostly it’s live emcee facilitation combined with some pre-recordings from the day before.
